SMART HOME CONFIGURATIONS & APPLIANCES ANALYTICS DASHBOARD

This project is focused on improving existing Smart Homes using MEMS Sensors and Ambient Intelligence (SAHOMASI) project. Problems faced are lack of security, lack of flexibility in analytics systems, and difficulty of access to appliances. Improvements included in this proposal are reconfigured the SAHOMASI analytics system based on fuzzy logic and harden security to protect configuration files and transmission between IoT devices, implement AI-assistant using a smart speaker. This system consists of a Google Home Mini speaker, a Raspberry Pi server powered by Python Django as backend, a NodeMCU microcontroller connected with sensors. The microcontroller will collect and transmit data from sensors to the Raspberry Pi server using the MQTT protocol. All data collected from microcontroller will be saved into database and gets updated on the web dashboard in real time. Elderly can also do simple automation by giving command to the speaker. The server is encrypted and only can be accessed using given credentials to sign in. The fuzzy logic analytics will generate values based on the predefined rules given temperature and humidity of that time.
