Mobile Based Lab Safety Instructional Training Using Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality has been a major contribution to providing an interactive and immersive experience for simulation training & entertainment. However, in the area of providing a simulated lab environment that is immersive enough to reflect several situations such as lab disaster and fire are rarely being the focused and developing such application is time-consuming and often unrealistic for real-life applications. For example, laboratory training and awareness towards health and safety can be fully utilized using Virtual Reality combining with the Gamification method that is reusable using the standard method of training to all trainees. The aim of this project to develop a VR based instructional application using Oculus Quest headset and Oculus Touch controllers. The simulated lab will be based on the lab located at the School of Technology Industry, and will be based on the standard lab procedure to create a scenario for the virtual environment.
